3745413 - Transaction ABUMN Partial Quantity Transfer Transfers Full Accumulated Depreciation Instead of Prorated Amount

Symptom

  • Quantity-based asset transfer from a sender asset with an original quantity of 1,200 EA.
  • Transfer: 1,192 EA are transferred, creating 1,192 receiver assets (1 EA each).
  • Expected behavior: Accumulated depreciation should be prorated based on the transferred quantity for each receiver asset.
  • Observed behavior:
    • The system does not prorate accumulated depreciation correctly.
    • During the transfer, the remaining accumulated depreciation is assigned entirely to a single receiver asset instead of being distributed proportionally.
    • The remaining 8 EA on the sender asset are left with incorrect or no accumulated depreciation allocation.
