3745911 - Hana cockpit upgrade fails with 'initializing persistence failed' (lsscfg signal 6)

Symptom

HANA Cockpit upgrade/update via hdblcm fails during Local Secure Store (LSS) installation/initialization. A combination of the following errors can appear in the traces:

  • Error: "Initializing persistence failed".
  • "Installation of SAP HANA Local Secure Store failed".
  • "Cannot create SecureStore".
  • hdbnsutil terminated with "signal 11 core dumped".
  • lsscfg terminated with "signal 6 core dumped".
