Symptom

For Non Employee Central - (EP Only) ,You would receive an application error while Exporting or Importing   Corporate Data Model export For Non Employee Central .

The application error id would be accompanied by error message:

  • you do not have permission for this action."

  • ajaxunauthorizedexception with category "unauthorized"

  • request path referenced in logs: /ec/ajax/remoting/call/plaincall/dataModelUtilsControllerProxy.getCSFandCDMBackUpVersionsList.dwr

Reproducing the Issue

Step 1: Grant RBP

  1. Administrator Permissions > Manage Foundation Objects > Import/Export Corporate Data Model and Import/Export Country/Region-Specific XML for Corporate Data Model.

Step 2: Replicate Issue

  1. Select the affected company.
  2. Sign in to Provisioning or Via UI( Admin Center > Import/Export Country/Region-Specific XML for Corporate Data Model)
  3. Open Import/Export Corporate Data Model XML or Import/Export Country/Region-Specific XML for Corporate Data Model.
  4. Choose Export file; the error appears.
  5. Error:  Result: Corporate Data Model cannot be export Error message: "You do not have permission for this action

Cause

  • On tenants without Employee Central enabled, an access validation check for ECV2 was recently introduced and is executed during Corporate Data Model export. Because CDM export does not require ECV2, this check incorrectly blocks access and raises “Unauthorized”.
  • ECV2 is being checked and access validation was added recently while for CDM ECV2 is not required. 

Resolution

This is a known product issue affecting non‑EC tenants

  • The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed with the patch 1H 2026 P2. For patch timelines, please review SAP SuccessFactors Patches Knowledge Base
  • This will be fixed via Release Note: ECT-271414 and will be patched. Tentative patch target is planned with release 2605p4 (preview) which would mean preview delivery on the 12th May.

Note:

  • Please monitor release communications for availability.
  • After the fix is deployed to your environment, retry exporting the Corporate Data Model and Country/Region‑Specific XML.
  • If the issue persists after the patch, capture the latest errorId and timestamp and contact support.
