3746496 - Question Library's editor toolbar overlays question/answer text when editing

Symptom

Unable to fully see question/answer when editing. The edit options toolbar overlays the question text box making it difficult to edit, and may shift from its position when scrolling at different zoom levels.

Choose any Question ID and click on Edit >
Click the question text to open the editor >
Observe the edit options toolbar sitting over the question text, preventing editing depending on the zoom screen %, and shifts from its position when scrolling.

Cause

Due to an upgrade of TinyMCE (the RTE provider), the toolbar mode was changed from "Sliding" to "Floating". By forcibly setting the mode to "Sliding" on the Learning application side, a code fix can resolve this scenario.

This scenario happens with various computer devices, and there are devices where this occurs and devices where it does not. (Since the third-party RTE tool automatically sets the bar mode (sliding or floating) depending on the device, it occurs randomly on different devices. The fix will forcibly set the sliding mode on the LMS side). The 2H 2026 release is a fix that will resolve the behavior for all devices.

Resolution

Our Learning Engineering team has finalized the investigation of this scenario, which will be fixed in the next release, 2H 2026. Until the 2H 2026 release, it is possible to try different zoom % to view the text box.
