Symptom
After 1H 2026 release, users observe inconsistent progress percentages for the same program in Snack view and Program Details page.
- The Snack View may display 0% or a lower percentage than program details page
- The Program Details Page may display a higher completion percentage (e.g., 33%).
This leads to confusion about actual program progress.

Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to Learning > Scroll down to Self-Assigned Learning
- Open a Program in Snack view and check the completion percentage
- Open the Program details and check the completion percentage
- Observe the difference between completion percentage
Cause
The discrepancy arises from two different progress calculation methods used across components:
- Snack View:
Progress is calculated based on section-level completion.
Only fully completed sections are counted. If no section is fully completed, progress may appear as 0%. - Program Details Page:
Progress is calculated based on overall item-level completion within the program.
Partial completion of items contributes to the total percentage, even if no section is fully completed.
Because of these differing methodologies, the displayed percentages do not match.
Resolution
This behavior is expected by design.
- The Snack View/Card View reflects section-based progress for a simplified, milestone-oriented perspective.
- The Program Details Page provides a granular, item-based progress view for a more detailed understanding.
