The system does not allow creating a new custom/own accounting principle for a scenario where multiple entities follow different gaap standards no error message provided.

By design, custom accounting principles cannot be created in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

1. Use standard accounting principles delivered by the system; do not attempt to create custom accounting principles, as this is not supported.
2. Configure ledgers and assign the relevant standard accounting principles to ledgers and company codes following the guidance in KBA 0003530183.
3. If multiple GAAP reporting is required (e.g., IND AS and IGAAP, etc), evaluate using an extension ledger to capture GAAP-specific adjustments and differences without creating a new accounting principle.
