• In a test tenant, attempting to switch a G/L account from open item management to non–open item management fails.
• Running the job "Activate Open Item Management for G/L Accounts" in the Schedule Accounting Data Changes app (F4622) ends with an error.
• Error message: "No P system available, conversion cannot be executed."

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app Schedule Accounting Data Changes (F4622).
2. Start the job template "Activate Open Item Management for G/L Accounts".
3. Run the job and observe the error: "No P system available, conversion cannot be executed." (FAGL_SWITCH_OP885).

The production (P) system is not available; the conversion requires a technically available production system, which leads to error FAGL_SWITCH_OP885.

1. Ensure the production (P) system is provisioned and technically available.
2. After the P system is available, open the app Schedule Accounting Data Changes (F4622).
3. Start the job template "Activate Open Item Management for G/L Accounts" and run it again.
4. Monitor the job until completion and verify the G/L account’s open item management setting.
5. G/L Account will be set to open item management.
