3747039 - 'Allow API Integration with Other Systems' Permission is Visible for 'Manage Center of Capabilities'

Symptom

When reviewing permission roles for Manage Center of Capabilities, an Allow API Integration with Other Systems permission is visible but there's no information on what it does:

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into SuccessFactors
  2. In the global search, enter Manage Permission Roles
  3. Either locate an existing role and select Edit OR select the Create button for a new role
  4. Select Next
  5. Search for Manage Center of Capabilities
  6. Observe a permission for Allow API Integration with Other Systems

Cause

This is a known documentation gap.

Resolution

This permission is used for Odata service access to Learning Management. Currently this is used by Learning Management to access capability fields such as Competency, CapabilityLibraryStructure, CapabilityCategory, and CapabilityGroup through Odata.

The guide is planned to be updated with the 2606 release which is June 12th.
