3747171 - 'Inactive' / 'Inactive (Past)' Label Not Showing On User With Multiple Employments

When viewing the Spotlight/profile of an employee with multiple employments (whether Regular, Concurrent, Global, etc.), in their employment drop-down, some employments which should be inactive (i.e. should have the 'Inactive' or 'Inactive (Past)' label) are not indicated as such and do not have the expected label. This leads to confusion as the employments therefore look like they are active. If you select the inactive employment to bring up its specific profile, the 'Inactive' label indicates it is indeed inactive as expected.

1. Navigate to People Profile or Spotlight for a user who has multiple employments.
2. Select the employment drop-down to see the list of employments.
3. The inactive employments are missing the 'Inactive' / 'Inactive (Past)' label

The 'Assignment Type' value is not set to "ST_PAST" (this can be checked in the 'Data Inspector' by reviewing the 'TABLE_USERS_SYSINFO' table for the employment), and so the 'Inactive' label is not set. This is due to the employment having an inactive manager on its Job Information, which caused the HRIS Sync job to fail while updating the status of the user to "Inactive".

This is a known issue which has been investigated by our Engineers, and will be resolved with ECT-272289 with the 2H 2026 release.

There is also a patch (PTCH-49964) scheduled for 19th May 2026, which should prevent the issue for future terminations.

For already-impacted users, the workaround is as below:

Workaround: Update the Manager field in the UDF via Basic User Import to an active Manager or "NO_MANAGER", then perform a Full HRIS Sync, or a User-Based HRIS Sync for the impacted users.
