3747203 - How to post asset retirement to a special period using the Mass Asset Retirement API - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When posting asset retirement to a special period using the Mass Asset Retirement API, the special posting period cannot be manually selected.

The API_FIXEDASSETRETIREMENT_G4BA and the standard asset retirement app do not provide an accounting period field; only journal entry date, posting date, and asset value date are available.

To post asset retirement to Special Period 13, it is necessary to close the relevant fiscal year and open Special Period 13 in the Manage Posting Periods app, then perform the retirement with the desired posting date.
