Symptom
- In SSCUI 101915 (Define BOM Usages), for BOM usage 3 (Universal BOM), the “Relevant to Sales” checkbox (Sales BOM) is greyed out and cannot be changed.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Open CBC and navigate to SSCUI 101915 “Define BOM Usages”.
- Switch to change mode.
- Select BOM usage “3 – Universal BOM”.
- Observe that the “Relevant to Sales” checkbox is disabled (greyed out) and cannot be modified.
Cause
In the current release, SSCUI 101915 does not allow changing SAP-delivered attributes for BOM usages; the “Relevant to Sales” attribute for Universal BOM (usage 3) is locked. Changing this customizing could have direct impacts on APIs.
Resolution
- Do not attempt to change the “Relevant to Sales” setting for Universal BOM (usage 3) via expert configuration in the current release, as this customizing is locked and changes can impact APIs.
- Plan to adopt release 2608 (or later). From that release onward, SSCUI “Define BOM usage” (101915) will allow customers to change SAP-delivered content and adjust attributes (including “Relevant to Sales”) as required.
- After upgrading to 2608 or later, revisit SSCUI 101915 and update the “Relevant to Sales” attribute for usage 3 as needed.
