3747350 - Error "no items to report; query doc_sel did not return any data" happens when running TH_WHT_50BIS statutory report - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Error message SRF_GENERATION019 - "No items to report; Query DOC_SEL did not return any data" occurs when executing TH_WHT_50BIS report via Run Statutory Report App.
• No data is retrieved in TH_WHT_50BIS report.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app Run Statutory Reports.
2. Select report name TH_WHT_50BIS and the relevant reporting year.
3. Open the desired period (for example, a specific month).
4. Choose New Run.
5. Enter company code, posting date range, business place, and address language.
6. Under Run Options, choose Start a Short Run Now (Less than 3 Minutes).
7. Choose Run and observe that the run is generated with errors and shows: "No items to report; Query DOC_SEL did not return any data."
8. Verify in Manage Supplier Line Items that withholding tax records exist for the same company code and period.

The error happens due to some possible reasons as below:

• The WHT type input in the invoice document is maintained for payment posting.
• The income type maintained for the corresponding WHT codes in configuration activity 104227 - Define Withholding Tax Codes does not belong to the supported list as outlined in Income Types to Report in Pre-Printed Legal Forms | SAP Help Portal.

• In case the WHT type is maintained for payment posting, only the payments for the corresponding invoice document is retrieved in the TH_WHT_50BIS report. This is a standard system behavior.
• Maintain the income types included in Income Types to Report in Pre-Printed Legal Forms | SAP Help Portal for the corresponding WHT codes. Any other income types are excluded from the TH_WHT_50BIS report.
