Symptom
Adjust Employee's Compensation to Tariff Changes is skipping employees even with the configuration correctly made and date adjusted.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Adjust Employees' Compensation to Tariff Changes.
- Select Create New.
- Enter a name and set Pay Scale Changes from date (for example, 04/01/2026).
- Select Employee Group.
- Submit the run.
- Open Simulate.
- Select Event Reason.
- Start the simulation.
- After the simulation job completes, review the status and results: some employees are skipped, although the Pay Scale Level has a valid change, and the rule is updating the pay component correctly on the Rule Trace.
Cause
The business rule that updates pay components is configured under the Basic scenario instead of Trigger Cross-Entity Rules.
Resolution
- Identify the business rule used by Adjust Employees' Compensation to Tariff Changes to update pay components. This can be done with a Rule Trace configured as per KBA ##2257064.
- Edit the rule and set its Scenario to Trigger Cross-Entity Rules. Alternatively, create a new rule under the Trigger Cross-Entity Rules scenario and replace the existing rule in the process configuration.
- Save and activate the rule.
- Re-run the simulation or execution of Adjust Employees' Compensation to Tariff Changes.
- Verify that employees previously skipped are now included in the results.
