3747721 - Inbound Delivery Cannot Be Deleted (EWM-Managed Storage Location) - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public

Symptom

Inbound Delivery cannot be deleted in the system. The Delete option is not available in the Change Inbound Delivery app due to the delivery being assigned to an EWM-managed storage location.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Change Inbound Deliveries app.
  2. Search for the inbound delivery.
  3. Open the Menu and observe that the Delete button is disabled (greyed out).

Cause

The issue may occur due to a stuck message in the EWM queue, which prevents the Inbound Delivery from being properly distributed to the warehouse. 

Resolution

Check for pending or stuck messages in the queue using the Warehouse Monitor app:

  • Navigate to Tools -> Message Queues
  • Verify if there are any messages in error or waiting status
  • Process or clear the affected queue entries accordingly

Once the queue is processed successfully, the Inbound Delivery should be correctly distributed and become visible in the warehouse, allowing further actions such as rejection or reversal.
