3747928 - Error Count Mismatch Between DWB Monitor and Excel Error File

Symptom

The error count shown in the Data Workbench (DWB) Monitor does not match the error count listed in the Excel Error File.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Upload a data file using the Data Workbench Import function.

  2. Allow the import job to complete and navigate to the DWB Monitor.

  3. Download the Excel Error File generated for the same import task.

  4. Compare the error count shown in the DWB Monitor with the error entries listed in the Excel Error File.

  5. Observe that the error count in the Monitor does not match the count shown in the Excel Error File.

Cause

The DWB Monitor only counts records that generate errors. Records that are not processed do not appear in the error file and are incorrectly treated as successful, which leads to the mismatch.

Resolution

This behavior is caused by the current processing logic in the DWB Monitor, where records without error entries are automatically counted as successful. As unprocessed records do not generate errors, they are included in the success count, resulting in the mismatch.
