• Error 834 reported: "Illegal attempt to clean buffer" with stack:

• Subsequent Error 6103 reported: "Unable to do cleanup for the stopped process; received 3300.".
• A ghost/zombie process remains present after the errors.
• Attempts to stop it report that the process does not exist.
• Execution of "sp_lock" system stored procedure shows retained locks for the ghost/zombie spid.
• Other connections can hang due to the retained locks.
• ASE server restart need to be execiuted to clear the ghost process.
