3748010 - T-code: MS04 with error msg 61792 - Object dependency too complicated

Symptom

When accessing "Object Dependencies" for a BOM component from the T-code: MS04 (Simulative Long-Term Planning) , the system terminates with a short dump: 
        Exception condition "OVER_MAX_SIZE_OF_OB_DEP" triggered

The same action performed from T-code: MD04 (Productive MRP) for the same component completes successfully without any dump.
The affected component belongs to a configurable material (KMAT) BOM hierarchy with multiple levels of selection conditions assigned.
