3748065 - Story Reports - Currency exchange rate custom fields not available despite correct permissions

Symptom

Custom fields created on the Currency Exchange Rate MDF object are not available for selection in Story Reports, even though the user has been granted the correct permissions.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Platform
  • Report Centre > Story Reports

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create one or more custom fields on the Currency Exchange Rate MDF object.
  2. Ensure the appropriate MDF object permissions are granted to the user.
  3. Navigate to Report Center.
  4. Open or create a Story Report.
  5. Attempt to select fields from the Currency Exchange Rate object.
  6. Observe that the custom fields are not available for reporting.

Cause

This behavior is due to a current system limitation in Story Reports. Custom fields added to the Currency Exchange Rate object are not yet supported for exposure in Story Reports.

Resolution

This is a known product limitation.
A fix is currently under development- there is no confirmed release date at this time.
