3748203 - Online item with Assessment cannot be launched

Symptom

Items give error when launching:

  • "Cannot invoke 'java.lang.Boolean.booleanValue()' because the return value of 'com.plateausystems.elms.bo.studentcomponent.interfaces.usercourse.IUserCourseOnlineModuleVOX.getLaunchContentInANewBrowser()' is null"
  • "OData Library: An exception without message text was thrown."

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Use an existing item/course with online content that includes assessments.
  2. Start the course launch from the learner side.
  3. Observe that the launch fails and one of the listed error messages appears.

Resolution

This issue will be fixed with 1H2026 release. (16-17th May for Production systems)
