Symptom
- This document provides key information regarding the upgrade of SAP HANA from Support Package Stack 7 (SP7) to Support Package Stack 8 (SP8) on Legacy HANA and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) servers, covering both non-production and production environments.
- During the SAP HANA database upgrade from SP7 to SP8 the following services and functionalities will be temporarily unavailable or affected:
- Incentive Management Portal is inaccessible during the upgrade window
- Workflow processing is interrupted and unavailable
- Agent Lifecycle Management functionality is unavailable
- Agent Performance Management functionality is unavailable
- Territory and Quota is unavailable
- Embedded Analytics stories are unable to pull data from the database
- IAS Sync Jobs will be affected and may not execute during the upgrade
- WebIDE is inaccessible during the upgrade
- SAP HANA Studio database connection is inaccessible during the upgrade window
Note: All of the above impacts are expected and temporary. Services will be restored upon successful completion of the SAP HANA SP8 upgrade.
