3748296 - Business Partner Name Does Not Match Between the BUT000 and KNA1 tables

Symptom

  • Name fields mismatch in BUT000 and KNA1 tables for Business Partners.
  • Business partner apps display values from BUT000 table, while sales transactions take values from KNA1.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

CVI (Customer-Vendor Integration) mapping is out of sync.

Resolution

To sync CVI mapping back, follow below steps:

  1. Open Manage Business Partner Master Data app.
  2. Open the profile of relevant Business Partner.
  3. Fill the correct details of the Business Partner.
  4. Save.

Note: For mass update, use Mass Changes – Business Partners app.
