Symptom
- We’ve identified an issue with the Restart e-Signature functionality for custom documents when DocuSign is enabled.
- Before the 1H release, if the Onboarding process was restarted while a document was still pending signature, the unsigned document was automatically voided.
- However, with the new Restart e-Signature functionality, when the signature process is restarted for an unsigned document, the previous signature task is not being voided as expected.
- As a result, candidates are currently able to complete both the valid and outdated signature tasks.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Enable DocuSign for onboarding custom documents.
- Start an e-signature process for a document and leave it in a pending signature state.
- Use the new Restart e-Signature functionality to restart the signature process for the same unsigned document.
- Observe that the previous DocuSign signature task/envelope is not voided, allowing candidates to complete both the outdated and the new signature tasks, while only one document version is ultimately retrieved.
Cause
This is a Known Issue.
Resolution
The issue has been resolved by our engineering team. The templates will now be voided post the restart e-signature usage.
The fix will be delivered in the upcoming P4 Patch i.e 12 May 2026 fo all the Preview Environments and along with the production upgrade for all Production Environments.
