3748365 - Android cloud build for sam fails when minimum os is below 11

Symptom

  • Cloud Build for Android fails for a Service and Asset Manager (SAM) MDK project.
  • Error: "Execution failed for task ':app:processReleaseMainManifest'. Manifest merger failed with multiple errors, see logs"
  • Error: "package='com.sap.mobile.apps.assetmanager.release' found in source AndroidManifest.xml ... Setting the namespace via the package attribute in the source AndroidManifest.xml is no longer supported, and the value is ignored. Recommendation: remove package='...' from the source AndroidManifest.xml."
  • Error observed in context: "MAPAuthDelegate is not defined"
  • Build succeeds for iOS, but Android build fails; in some cases, the app opens with an error when using the generated file.
