Symptom
Clicking "Apply admin defaults" in the Operator Team field appears to add users configured in Manage Recruiting Team Settings. However, after saving and reopening the job requisition, the admin defaults aren’t saved. The users are gone.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Open a job requisition and scroll to Operator Team (operatorTeam) field, e.g. Recruiting Team
- Click "Apply admin defaults" to add users from Manage Recruiting Settings
- Save the job requisition
- Close and then reopen the same requisition
- Observe that the admin default users are gone
Cause
Duplicate or the same users exist in Admin Defaults (pulled from Manage Recruiting Team Settings) and those that are manually added in the Operator Team. On save, this leads to a database unique constraint violation (error code 301), preventing the update from persisting.
Resolution
Product Management confirmed that the system is functioning as designed and has been for several years.
Workaround: After clicking on "Apply admin defaults", ensure no duplicate users added to the Operator Team before saving the job requisition. Click on the "X" button next to the user to remove the duplicates. This is a mandatory step to prevent the unique constraint errors that occur when saving job requisition.
