3748576 - BD64 Model Distribution Fails with Error “Illegal Destination Type ‘G’”

Symptom

While distributing an ALE model view using transaction BD64, the distribution fails with the following error message:

Communication error occurred
Illegal destination type ‘G’

As a result:

  • The model view is not distributed successfully
  • Partner profiles / control data are not updated
  • IDocs are not generated
  • Downstream systems do not receive any data
