Unable to cancel onboarding due to Error message: [COE0018] The cancellation request for new hire 12345 has failed. Please contact your administrator.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Open Onboarding Dashboard and attempt to cancel onboarding for a new hire.
2. Observe the error

Missing Job Information in New Hire Data

 Approach 1

1. Open the Candidate Dashboard > Actions > New Hire Data and verify the Job Information section;
2. If Position/Job Information is missing, add a valid Position (or fill in the required Job Information fields) and save;
3. Retry cancelling the onboarding from the Onboarding Dashboard.

Approach 2 in case cannot update the new hire date due to any blockage (Valid only for candidates initiated from Recruiting)

1. Go to Admin Center > Onboarding General Settings and temporarily disable the Retain Onboarding Information toggle;
2. Enable the Allow Recruiting Updates toggle;
3. Restart the onboarding process for the candidate so the latest Recruiting data is pulled in;
4. Navigate back to New Hire Data and confirm that Job Information is now populated;
5. Cancel the onboarding process;
6. Optionally re-enable Retain Onboarding Information once completed.
