Symptom
In SAP Cloud Integration, the SFTP Sender adapter is configured with Include Subdirectories enabled and uses a file name expression for polling files.
However, file retrieval from subdirectories behaves inconsistently:
- Certain file name patterns do not return files from subdirectories, e.g.
*.txt,**.TXT,*?*.txt,*M*.TXT,*135.TXT - Other patterns work as expected, e.g.
*MT*.TXT,*MT940*.txt - When the directory is changed directly to a specific subfolder, previously failing patterns start working, indicating no SFTP permission or authorization issue
- File extension case sensitivity impacts behavior (uppercase vs lowercase depending on server naming)
- The Change Directories Stepwise option does not resolve the issue
