3748718 - Duplicate resource error when uploading PIR data in Maintain PIRs app

Symptom

The "DUPLICATE RESOURCE" error occurs when uploading Planned Independent Requirements (PIR) data via the Maintain PIR app.

Environment

  •  SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Maintain PIRs app.
  2. Use Upload and Edit to select and upload the PIR CSV file.
  3. Observe that the upload process returns the error "DUPLICATE RESOURCE".

Cause

Data inconsistency (duplicate PIR entries exist for the same period).

Resolution

  1. After the error occurs, Press F12 to open the Dev tool of the browser.
  2. In Console, identify the affected material(s), plant(s), and period(s) where duplicate PIR entries exist.
  3. Go to app Change PIRs (MD62) for the affected material and plant.
  4. Remove the duplicate PIR entry or consolidate the quantities so that only one requirement exists per period.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Return to the Maintain PIR app and retry the CSV upload.
