Symptom
Error FF749 "Jurisdiction code OR00000000 is not defined for calculation procedure TAXUSJ" occurs when posting Billing Document.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Create Billing Document with Tax Jurisdiction code lower than state level (level 1)
- Post Document/ or if Billing is already saved, Release to Accounting
- Observe error FF749: "Jurisdiction code OR00000000 is not defined for calculation procedure TAXUSJ".
Cause
The Level 1 Jurisdiction Code for state level is not maintained in SSCUI 101019 - Define Tax Jurisdictions. During posting with lower level Jurisdiction Code, Discount Base and Tax Base settings are taken from State Level Jurisdiction Code. If it is not maintain in SSCUI 101019 - Define Tax Jurisdictions, error FF749 is raised .
Resolution
- Open SSCUI 101019 - Define Tax Jurisdictions.
- Enter the name of the calculation procedure that requires a tax jurisdiction code - TAXUSJ for US Internal Tax
- Enter the tax jurisdiction code for state level
- Set the indicators for determining the tax base and cash discount base.
- Save the entry. Note that Deletion is not supported for SSCUI 101019 - Define Tax Jurisdictions.
