3748728 - Maximum number of characters in the item description field is no longer limited to 4000 characters

Symptom

Administrators can now add more than 4,000 characters to Item Descriptions without encountering validation errors.

Reproducing the Issue

  • Log in with Administrative privileges and navigate to any Item record.
  • Upon editing the Item Description, it is possible to input more than 4,000 characters without triggering a validation error. 

Resolution
