3748778 - Email job to friend emails not received by internal recipients - Recruiting Management

Email job to friend notifications are not received by internal recipients whereas external recipients receive them.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management 

1. Navigate to the careers area and list job postings.
2. Open any job and choose “Email Job to Friend” or “Refer Friend to Job”.
3. Enter a recipient using an internal corporate email domain and send the message.
4. A success message is shown, but the recipient does not receive the email.

• Single Sender is enabled. For ad hoc emails such as “Email Job to Friend”, the message is sent via SAP mail servers while appearing to come from the user’s corporate address. Internal email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) can detect this as spoofing and block or drop the message. This limitation primarily impacts internal domains; external domains may accept the messages.

1. Review Single Sender settings and sender address expectations for recruiting emails to confirm applicability.
2. Add the appropriate SAP SuccessFactors SPF include record for your data center to your domain’s DNS so messages sent via SAP servers are authorized (refer to: 2089448 - Data center and outbound mail details).
3. Update your organization’s email security to allow list the current SAP outbound mail IP addresses for your data center (refer to: 2089448 - Data center and outbound mail details).
4. Optionally implement DKIM for improved authentication: prepare DNS as per guidance and open a case with component LOD-SF-PLT-EML to complete setup (refer to: 2688533 - DKIM setup for SuccessFactors).
5. Re-test by sending “Email Job to Friend” to an internal recipient and confirm delivery.
6. If emails are still not delivered, review blocklist/allow list and anti-spam policies and follow the troubleshooting guidance (refer to: 2087468 - Emails blocked or not delivered).
