Symptom

Changes made to the Navigation Background Color theme setting are not reflected in the Sign In and Create Account buttons on the career site.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Sites.
  2. Open Manage Recruiting Sites Theme Manager.
  3. Select the default theme or the theme used on the external career site.
  4. Navigate to Fine Tune > Career Navigation > Navigation background color.
  5. Change the color and save.
  6. Refresh the career site; the sign in/create account button background color does not change.

Cause

This behavior is expected by design. When Mobile Apply is disabled, changes to the Navigation Background Color theme setting are not applied to the Sign In and Create Account buttons.

Resolution

To have the Sign In and Create Account button background color reflect the value configured in Theme Manager, Mobile Apply must be enabled for the career site.

After enabling Mobile Apply, update the Navigation Background Color under Theme Manager > Fine Tune > Career Navigation and save the changes. Once the update is complete, perform an OData refresh, clear the browser cache, and access the career site again.

After these steps, verify that the Sign In and Create Account button background color reflects the configured navigation background color.
