3748878 - How to resolve 'CA-137: Invalid reference identifier format' error

Symptom

  • Business rules triggered by 'AttachmentCreatedEvent' fail with error 'CA-137: Invalid reference identifier format.'
  • The fsmEvent.id parameter is populated in lowercase, hyphenated UUID format (e.g., a1b2c3d4-e5f6-7890-abcd-ef1234567890) instead of the required 32-character hexadecimal string without hyphens (e.g., A1B2C3D4E5F67890ABCDEF1234567890).

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
