Symptom
EPCIS messages are shown as Error or Failed status with the Status Description - the sender and receiver relationship is not maintained in Manage Message Portal.
Environment
SAP Traceability Hub
Cause
The valid connection exists between the message sender and receiver in SAP Traceability Hub.
Resolution
To prevent EPCIS message failures, ensure that a valid sender–receiver relationship is established before sending messages.
- Verify that the Sender and Receiver have an active connection in SAP Traceability Hub in Manage Connection Application.
- If the connection must be established manually, contact the respective Technical Manager(TIM)/Customer Success Manager(CSM) and Technical Engineer(TIE) team.
- If the connection is established via self-onboarding:
- Check the invitation status.
- Ensure the connection status is Connected before sending EPCIS messages.
- If the status is Open, contact the invited partner to accept the invitation.
- Once the connection status is confirmed as Connected, reprocess or resend the message.
If the issue persists, create a support ticket under component IS-LS-TH at https://support.sap.com
