3749011 - Error Occurs While Trying to Assign Business Partner in the Road Freight Order as a Carrier

Error occurs while trying to assign the business partner as the Carrier on a Road Freight Order.
Error 1: Organizational Unit A: No data maintained for business partner B
Error 2: Business partner B is not a valid carrier 

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to Manage Freight Orders app
2. Search for Road Freight Order
3. Navigate to the Transportation section
4. Enter Business Partner in the Carrier field & press Enter
5. Error appears

The business partner intended to be used as carrier is earmarked for archiving and the supplier entry is marked for deletion, so the system does not treat it as a valid carrier.

1. Open the Maintain Business Partner app and search for the intended carrier.
2. Check the status; if the business partner shows “Earmarked for Archiving” or the supplier/vendor is “Marked for Deletion”, do one of the following:
   1. Coordinate with your data governance process to remove the deletion/archiving flags if the partner should remain active, or
   2. Use a different active business partner that is not earmarked for archiving and not marked for deletion.
3. Ensure the carrier-relevant roles are assigned to the business partner (for example, Carrier role) and that required organizational data for supplier/sales/purchasing is maintained.
4. Save and reattempt assigning the carrier in the Road Freight Order.
