3749022 - UI Rules associated with Additional Data Collection step is not working as expected

Symptom

  • We’ve identified an issue with the UI Rules that control field mandatory settings within the custom UI used for Additional Data Collection. Currently, the system is not behaving as expected when these rules are applied.
  • Even when a UI Rule is configured to make a field non-mandatory—or to remove the mandatory requirement entirely—the system may still trigger an error indicating that the field is required.
  • This results in candidates or users being blocked by mandatory field validations that should no longer apply based on the configured rule logic.
  • Error Observed: “XXX is required.”

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Cause

  • This issue is typically caused when there are conflicting rules configured within the UI.

Resolution

  • Go to Manage Configuration UI
  • Identify the Custom UI
  • Validate the UI Rules associated with the custom object
  • There maybe 2 similar rules which are responsible to set the visibility/required field to "Yes" or "No"
  • The rules should be corrected to resolve the issuea
