Symptom

Customer modified length of standard domain and got error during S/4HANA upgrade / migration (SUM):

Length change not possible, usage in number range object <object_name>

SUM phase logs:

Field "<domain_name>", Type "<data_type>": Length changed from "XXXXXX" to "XXXXXX"
ALTER TABLE is not possible

For example, when the customer changed length of ZUONR during SPDD phase in a shadow instance, they get:

Length change not possible, usage in number range object J3R_CNT

SUM phase logs show:

Field "ZUONR", Type "NVARCHAR": Length changed from "XXXXXX" to "000018"
ALTER TABLE is not possible
