Symptom
External candidates encounter a generic application error when applying via Quick Apply. The issue occurs when the candidate already has an existing candidate profile but proceeds without logging in.

Reproducing the Issue
1. On the career site, start the Quick Apply flow as an external candidate without signing in.
2. Enter an email address that already belongs to an existing candidate profile and complete required fields.
3. Submit the application.
4. Observe that an application error occurs instead of a prompt to log in; if the same candidate signs in first and applies, the submission succeeds.
Cause
This is a known issue.
Resolution
The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2026 release.

Workaround: Candidates should sign in to their existing account before applying to a Quick Apply job, then submit the application again.
