3749216 - Reference object of type "GO" with data source "LegalEntity" and value "XYZ" could not be set for field "legalEntity" - MDI

Company Code value is not replicating when using MDI's Cost Center replication from S/4HANA to SuccessFactors.

When reviewing the payloads sent from MDI, the error below can be seen:

"Reference object of type "GO" with data source "LegalEntity" and value "XYZ" could not be set for field "legalEntity" because object does not exist for the cost center record with start date 1900-01-01.
Record start date 1900-01-01: Object Cost Center has a mandatory association Legal Entity. Please add at least one record for Legal Entity.".

• OneMDI Business Scenarios

1. In "Manage Data" > "SAP Master Data Services Cost Center Integration Configuration", you have "External Code Mapping" set as "Company Code and Cost Center External ID".
2. In "Configure Object Definitions" > "Cost Center", you have the Legal Entity association set as "Required = Yes".
3. The Cost Center business scenario job is executed.
4. All Cost Centers that have a company code that does exist in SuccessFactors fail with the error described above.

In SuccessFactors, Company Codes from S/4HANA correspond to the Legal Entity object.

The error occurs because the Legal Entity referenced by the incoming Company Code either:

1. Does not exist in SuccessFactors, or
2. Exists but is not effective as of the Cost Center start date.

Ensure that a valid Legal Entity record exists in SuccessFactors and is effective on the Cost Center start date.

If the Legal Entity corresponding to the Company Code from S/4HANA does not exist, you can either:

1. Manually create the required Legal Entity records in SuccessFactors, or
2. Use the appropriate MDI integration to replicate Company Codes (Legal Entities) from S/4HANA, as described in: Scenario: Integrating Company Code from SAP Master Data Integration to Employee Central | SAP Help Portal
