3749237 - Activating SAP User Experience leads to error in language setting in Onboarding

Symptom

Issue occurs when the SAP User Experience is enabled in the system, external onboarding users are unable to change the language setting.

The "Change Language" page displays a blank screen or throws a 500 error.

Reproducing the Issue

1. Navigate to the Company Logo & Settings Page > enable the SAP User Experience

2. Log in as an external onboarding candidate 

3. Navigate to Settings > Change Language

4. Observe that the "Change Language" page displays a blank screen or throws a 500 error

Cause

This is a known issue and engineering team is working on the fix.

Resolution

This is a known issue and engineering team is working on the fix. This KBA will be updated timely for the fix progress.

Temporary Workaround:

  1. Navigate to Manage Languages → Disable Custom Translations for all locales that have them enabled
  2. Login with the external user 
  3. Change the language setting
  4. Return to Manage Languages → Re-enable Custom Translations for all previously enabled locales
