3749261 - Collective Note: Errors when installing Data Packages using BDC Cockpit, from S/4HANA Private Cloud system

Symptom

When installing or activating Data Packages from BDC cockpit, different types of errors may be encountered, including but not limited to:
  • Data Package activation fails or remains in status "Activating" 
  • Errors related to CDS views appearing in SLG1 in the S/4HANA backend system, for example:
    • Cannot read nametab for object <XXX>
    • CDS view <XXX> is not enabled for data extraction
