3749339 - unable to maintain data locks with maintain access using standard license - SAP Analytics Cloud

• Unable to maintain data locks with "Maintain" access when using a Standard (planning standard) license.
• Data locks can be changed only when using a Professional license.
• Lock state options appear greyed out when attempting to open/close data lock intersections in the modeler’s Configure Data Locks.

1. Log in to the tenant.
2. Go to the Modeler.
3. Open the relevant planning model.
4. Open Configure Data Locks and try to open/close a data lock intersection; the lock state controls are disabled.

Users with Read + Maintain permission for data locking can change lock states only for data slices they own or manage - see https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_ANALYTICS_CLOUD/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/e07d46e950794d5a928a9b16d1394de6.html?q=license#loioe07d46e950794d5a928a9b16d1394de6 the "Detailed Permissions for Data Locking Tasks", namely the before last line of the table.

You would need to enable the data locking ownership for one or more data locking driving dimensions and assign that particular user as an owner of the data slices that they want to set locks for. Check the "Delegating Ownership of Data Locks" section of the same documentation page. 

1. Enable data locking ownership for one or more driving dimensions in the planning model (for example, Version) so that ownership can be assigned.
2. Assign the relevant users as owners or managers of the data slices for which they need to set locks (refer to: Delegating Ownership of Data Locks).
3. Have the users with Maintain permission try again; they will be able to change lock states only for the slices they own or manage.
4. Alternatively, grant Update permission (requires a Planning Professional license) to allow changing lock states regardless of ownership.
