3749446 - Direct Mapping for the "Time Type" Field is not Resolved Correctly in Email Notifications – 1H 2026

Symptom

The "Time Type" field mapping is not correctly resolved in email notifications.
- The "Time Type" field mapping should resolve to the external name, but it does not. Instead, figures are displayed.
- Time Type.External Name also does not resolve correctly.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central > Time Off - 1H 2026

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Document Generation Template similar to the example in  Enhancements to Time Off and Time Sheet Custom Workflow Notifications | SAP Help Portal, which includes tokens for the newly added reference mappings such as employee name, time type, start time/start date and end time/end date of the absence.
  2. In Manage Document Template Mapping, search for the template and map each of the placeholders using the newly added 'Direct' references to the Employee Time object.
  3. Create an absence for a time type that uses this document template in its workflow configuration. This will trigger an email notification.
  4. Observe that the "Time Type" mapping does not resolve to the External name.
  5. In the Manage Document Template Mapping page, change the mapping to Time Type.External Name, request another absence. Note that it also does not resolve correctly.

Resolution

Product Engineering is investigating a solution.

Workaround

Change the mapping to Time Type. External Name.Country. Ensure to select the same language used in the Document Template.
