3749471 - Unable to remove partner functions at subrange level due to the error "WY 053" - SAP S/4 HANA

Symptom

While trying to remove a partner function maintained under a subrange in the transaction BP, below error raised:
"WY 053 – A purchasing info record exists for the supplier sub-range"
