Symptom
When creating a new Benefit or making any change to an existing one, or trying to create a new Insurance Plan, the system throws an application error.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 1H 2026
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Benefit Admin Overview (or Manage Data)
- Select a Benefit
- Try to make any change
- Application Error shows when saving the change
- The error can also be "Invalid number format" or similar.
Or
- Go to Benefit Admin Overview (or Manage Data)
- Start to create a new Insurance Plan
- When populating the "Enrollment for" field, the application error show
Cause
Known issue. A data migration is needed for existing records already stored in the database.
Resolution
To solve the issue, please run the "MDF Object Definition To DB SYNC" Job by following the steps below:
- On Admin Center > Go to Scheduled Job Manager > Click on the tab Job Scheduler
- On Job Type, select MDF Object Definition to DB Sync
- On Actions, you can click on Run it Now
- Important Notes:
- It is not possible to schedule this job for a future date; currently, only the "Run it Now" option is available.
- The job will only appear in this screen if it was previously created via Provisioning.
- If you do not have access to provisioning or do not have an Implementation Partner, kindly create a ticket to LOD-SF-EC-GBF Component, providing written approval, Job Owner ID, and instance credentials for the job creation.
This issue should not affect Production Release, as the mentioned Job runs as part of the release deployment.
