3749914 - Plant and storage location not populated for packaging material delivery items - SAP s/4hana cloud public edition

Based on the relevant configurations, delivery items can be generated for packaging material. However the plant and storage location are not populated automatically for the deliveryr items.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The plant determination for packaging material type is set to “plant is entered manually in the handling unit” in the Maintain Packaging Material Types configuration activity.

1. Open the configuration activity 103665 - Maintain Packaging Material Types.
2. Locate corresponding packaging material type and change the plant determination to one of the following:
   
   • Plant proposed from the packaging material (A)
     Note that with this option, the delivering plant must be defined for the sales organization and distribution channel in the material master of the packaging material (view Sales: Sales Org. 1).
   • Plant determined from the first item that was packed (B)
3. Save the configuration.
4. Re-test the packing process in the outbound delivery and confirm that plant and storage location are proposed automatically.
