3750218 - Custom Fields Deleted On Opportunity When Updating Sales Data Via Data Workbench

Custom fields on the Opportunity are being deleted when updating Sales Data via Data Workbench. This issue impacts only certain custom fields, while other custom fields remain unaffected and retain their values.

SAP Cloud for Customer 

1. Update Opportunity Sales Data using Data Workbench.
2. Use an upload file containing only Sales Data-related fields.
3. In Data Workbench, select Update for the standard object and set Blank Fields = Ignore.
4. Complete the run and observe that certain custom fields on the Opportunity are cleared.

The configured extension scenario mapping between Opportunity and Sales Data can overwrite or clear certain custom fields on Opportunity during updates performed via Data Workbench.

1. Identify the affected custom fields on the Opportunity
2. For each affected field, open the field settings and navigate to the Extension Scenario facet.
3. Locate the option labeled "Sales Data → Sales Data to Opportunity → General Information".
4. Uncheck/ Deactivate this option to prevent the field value from being overwritten or cleared during Sales Data updates.
5. Save the changes and repeat the Data Workbench update to confirm that the custom field values are retained.
