3750281 - Error "Measure is restricted and cannot be added to the query" in Live Universe Data Model in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

•  An error occurs when adding a measure to the query builder in Live Data Model on SAC. 
• "Measure is restricted and cannot be added to the query" error message is displayed.  

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Login to SAC
2. Go to Modeler
3. Create a Live Data Model using SAP UNIVERSE
4. Add a measure (e.g., ABC) to the query builder.  

Notice: Error 'ABC' is restricted and cannot be added to the query.

In IDT, the projection function assigned to the key figure for the given measure was set to the default value "Delegated," which is typically applied to non-additive measures.  

In SAP BusinessObjects Information Design Tool (IDT), the projection function controls how a measure behaves in a report when the number of dimensions displayed changes. It determines whether the measure is aggregated locally in the universe or delegated to the database for calculation BusinessObjects.

To ensure correct aggregation behavior, the projection function (Sum, Min, Max, Count, and Avg) must be explicitly changed in the Business Layer.
