3750602 - PESEL Deep Validation Not Triggered for Dependents When Centralized Services Enabled - Onboarding

Symptom

We have implemented a validation rule to ensure that the dependent’s national ID (PESEL) number aligns with the associated date of birth. Upon testing, it has been observed that enabling the 'Allow Centralized Services Save for New Hire Data Review, Personal Data Collection, and Manage Pending Hires pages' setting causes the validation rule to become non-functional. Additionally, it has been noted that this setting cannot be disabled once enabled.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.

Reproducing the Issue

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Log in to the test system using the affected candidate’s account.
  2. Open the Personal Data Collection (PDC) and proceed to complete it.
  3. Navigate to the Dependent Information section.
  4. Add or update the dependent details, including the document (national ID/PESEL) number.
  5. Enter a dependent date of birth that does not match the national ID.
  6. Submit the PDC.

Actual Result:
The system allows the PDC to be submitted without triggering any validation error.

Expected Result:
The system should display a validation error and prevent submission when the dependent’s date of birth does not match the national ID.

Resolution

  • Please be advised that our Engineering team is aware of this issue and has scheduled a fix as part of the 2H 2026 release. Until then, we would like to suggest the following workaround:
  • Currently, the rule is registered under Personal Information in Manage Business Configuration. As a temporary measure, we recommend removing or disabling the rule from the Personal Information section and re-registering it under Person Relationship. This should resolve the issue and ensure the rule functions as intended in the interim.
