Symptom

App 'Cost Center Budget Report' shows no data although there are plan and actuals values on the cost center

Environment

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

  • The G/L account(s) used for the budget upload and/or the actual postings are not assigned to the account group maintained in the Budget Availability Control Profile, so the report returns no data.

Resolution

The app 'Cost Center Budget Report' displays data only if the account is assigned to the account group from Budget Availability Control Profile.

  1. Identify the G/L account(s) used for the plan/budget upload and those used for the actual postings relevant to the report.
  2. Open the Budget Availability Control Profile used for cost centers and review the maintained account group(s).
  3. Verify whether the identified G/L account(s) are included in the relevant account group(s).
  4. If any accounts are missing, add them to the appropriate account group(s) in the Budget Availability Control Profile.
  5. Save the changes.
  6. Re-run the "Cost Center Budget Report" with the same plan category and fiscal year to confirm data is now displayed.
